We Are Moving

Yes, we are leaving Berks County, my home for more years than I can remember.  Our beautiful house has sold and we go to settlement on Friday, June 14, 2013.  When our house was first built, we received our occupancy permit on Friday, June 13, 1997.  It is ironic that these dates are so similar.  The painful part was finding homes for two of our cats.  Felix, who is 15 years old and born on ‘the hill’ is now living with a friend.  Synnie, who is 10 years old and was rescued from the Humane Society, is now living happily with a new family.  Homer, our 5 year old visually impaired tabby, will be moving with us.

Our plan is to eventually find a home in Bend, Oregon.  Until we do that, we will be stayng with our daughter and son-in-law in Sammamish, Washington.  Yes, the northwest is beautiful and we are looking forward to moving to this part of the country.  The really sad part, is leaving our other daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren behind in Pennsylvania.  Hopefully, they, too, will move to the wonderful northwest.

Our first over night will be in Ohio.  We will keep in touch.

Here is a picture of our sweet, sweet, Felix.  I just love the way he asserted himself in front of the camera.IMG_0770

Here is Synnie, looking as cute as can be.  This pose of her always made me want to pet her belly.
