What a beautiful state. We traveled through part of the Rockies outside of Denver and into a beautiful little town named Idaho Springs. I could stay here and never leave.
The most excitement of the day was when my phone started making a siren like beep. I picked it up and there was a message “Severe Weather Alert”. When I read the full message is was a tornado warning. Fortunately, the bad weather was to the east of us and we were heading towards the mountains and away from the Colorado prairie. I figured that it would be difficult for a tornado to form in the Rocky Mountains.
There is only one redeeming feature in Nebraska and that is there are sculptures at their roadside rest stops and along the side of the road at some major cities.
I’ll take some pictures tomorrow and post them to this blog. In the meantime, enjoy this.
